Kunming - 1er jour

Mercredi 4 juillet.

C'est à 9h15 que nous sommes arrivés dans la petite (4,5 millions d'habitants) ville de Kunming, capitale du Yunnan, province où nous allons passer le reste de notre voyage. Première remarque : il fait frais ! Comparé aux 35°C de Chongqing ou Yichang, les 20-25°C méritaient presque une petite laine... presque.

Après 30 minutes de queue à la gare pour acheter les prochains billets de train, on a rapidement trouvé le bus qui allait nous emmené chez nous, à 15 minutes de là. On a fait le dernier kilomètre à pied afin de découvrir le quartier, composé de restaurants, de magasins, d'arches et de pagodes, avant d'arriver au Hump Youth Hostel (nom donné en hommage aux pilotes anglais survolant l'Himalaya pour ravitailler l'ouest de la Chine pendant l'occupation japonaise de la seconde guerre), où nous allions passer les deux prochaines nuits.
Deuxième remarque : comme prévu avec un ratio de 28/31, il s'est mis à pleuvoir, donc nous avons pu sortir les k-ways :).

Pour la suite, nous avons pris le bus en direction du temple d'or, 15km au nord de la ville (c'est à dire toujours dans la ville en fait ^^). Ledit temple était situé au sommet d'une colline entourée de jardins luxuriants, avec une tour de la cloche qui avait la classe. On a pu y voir une des spécialités touristiques chinoises : revêtir des habits anciens et se faire photographier avec devant un monument.

Sur le chemin du retour, après avoir essayé de savoir où on était pendant une demi-heure, on est finalement descendu du bus un peu au hasard pour se retrouver juste à l'entrée du Lac des Emeraudes. Ça tombait bien, c'est là qu'on voulait aller :).
Ce lac est réputé pour être très animé, mais comme il pleuvait, c'était plutôt vide, ce qui a fait une deuxième visite plutôt calme et posée. Le parc est assez harmonieux donc il vaut le coup d'œil ^^.

L'étape d'après consistait en la visite du temple de Yuantong, à 200m de là, mais comme il était déjà 17h30, il était malheureusement fermé...
On est donc tranquillement rentré chez nous à pied, et sur la route on a pu trouver un petit restaurant caché dans une cour d'immeuble qui nous a servi un très bon repas (comme quoi il ne faut pas avoir peur de tenter !).

Après avoir pris une douche (oh oui !), on a pu tester le charisme européen en rentrant en tongs et short dans une des boîtes les plus branchées de la ville :p. Mais bon, notre charisme n’a pas suffi à réduire le prix des boissons, donc on n’est pas resté très longtemps ^^.
Et pour finir cette bonne journée, on a pu profiter de notre première nuit dans un vrai lit (qui ne bouge pas) depuis une éternité ! C’était top !
