PFE : C’est parti !
Après la semaine passée à Beijing (toutes les photos sont en ligne), je peux vous dire que ça n’a pas été évident de se lever le matin pour aller bosser. Mais bon, quand faut y aller, faut y aller. Donc ce lundi 9 avril (et oui déjà deux semaines, ça passe vite ^^), j’ai pris la navette de 7h30 (tôt !) en face de chez mois en direction de mon campus adore qui ne m’avait absolument pas manque. 40 minutes de trajet, un petit-déj et une réparation de vélo plus tard, j’étais présent à mon rendez-vous dans ma nouvelle school, la School of Software Engineering, avec 10 minutes d’avance (la classe). 40 minutes après, mon chef d’équipe est arrivé… ca donnait le ton pour la suite. Effectivement, à 9h30, il y avait 3 personnes (sur 20) dans le labo. Bon, je me dis que c’est le lundi matin, ok. Mais en fait, 3 c’est juste en dessous de la moyenne globale (qui est de 5), on ne retrouve l’intégralité du labo que lors des conférences bihebdomadaires (j’apprendrai par la suite que certains ont des boulots à coté, mais que d’autres ne font strictement rien).
Mais justement l’après-midi il y avait conférence, donc après 2h de présentation en chinois ou chaque team (4/labo) présente son avancée, j’ai pu faire une réunion avec ma team. A l’issue de cette réunion, je ne savais pas ce qu’étais le projet, ils ne savaient pas ce qu’ils allaient me faire faire, mais ils m’ont donné trois article à lire sérieusement et une semaine pour le faire. Sachant qu’au rythme TC un article = 1 demie–journée, je peux vous dire que la première semaine n’a pas été trop dure. Inutile d’ajouter que je n’ai pas d’horaires donc je viens quand je veux.
Petite précision : dans mon labo, il n’y a que des étudiants en M2, c’est-à-dire comme moi, a part qu’ils ont fait leur licence en 4 ans et que leur master dure 2 ans et demi (donc ils ont tous un an de plus que moi). On peut aussi noter que très peu parlent anglais (1.5/5 dans ma team), sinon ça serait trop facile ^^. On peut néanmoins noter qu’il y a quelques hardworkers, dont une chinoise qui bosse 3 jours/semaine chez Baidu (=Google chinois) et qui se fait des journées de 9h-22h les deux autres jours au labo ; chapeau.
A la fin de la première semaine, j’ai pu donc confirmer mes impressions que j’avais eu avec les étudiants de la filière : ça bosse pas des masses et le rythme est vraiment tranquille (le Solitaire est bien plus utilise que Wikipédia) ; parfait. On a pu donc sortir tous les soirs de la semaine (à chaque fois à pied, et ça c’est un plaisir) et tenir leur deadline sans problème.
Cote environnement de travail, ils m’ont passé un bureau et un ordi tellement sale à la fois à l’intérieur (softwares) qu’à l’extérieur (clavier, souris, table) que ça m’a pris toute une journée (et deux paquets de lingettes pour bébé) avant de transformer ça en espace viable pour les 3 prochains mois (j’ai pas osé reformater l’ordi je me suis dit que ça serait drôle d’avoir un Windows XP en chinois).
Pour la deuxième semaine, on a réussi à faire une réunion d’équipe ou j’ai compris l’objectif du projet (proposer des services aux clients des supermarchés basés sur le contexte). J’ai compris leurs responsabilités diverses (genre responsable affichage -_-‘), mais impossible de savoir les objectifs de chacun (pas sûr qu’ils en aient d’ailleurs…) ni la deadline finale (qui n’existe pas, à part si on prend en compte la fin de leur master dans 10 mois). J’ai ensuite pu/du proposer des idées d’amélioration (après une longue réflexion d’au moins 30 secondes), qui ont eu l’air de beaucoup leur plaire, et ils m’ont demandé lesquelles je voulais développer. J’en ai choisi deux intéressantes qui devraient me prendre le prochain mois sans trop me fouler. J’attaque dès que j’ai réussi a builder leur projet sur ma machine, ce qui n’est pas évident car ils n’utilisent aucun outil de travail d’équipe ni de gestion de projet (et ils utilisent myEclipse).
Donc en conclusion, pour le moment, je fais ce que je veux, quand je veux, et tout le monde est content :)
A part ça, on habite dans un quartier super-chouette avec de l’animation tout le temps, les chinois de mon labo sont super sympa, j’ai trouvé (et testé) une table de ping-pong dans le bâtiment où je bosse, j’ai acheté une raquette de Bad, j’ai compris comment fonctionnaient ma douche et ma machine à laver, je n’ai toujours rien pour cuisiner, j’ai réussi (après trois essais) à m’enregistrer auprès de la Police, je n’ai toujours pas réussi à réparer le page galerie et le flux rss de mon site (les photos sont toujours accessibles directement depuis le menu), mais je commence à préparer mon voyage pour Xi’an de la semaine prochaine, donc tout va plutôt pas mal :).
