Lijiang - 2ème jour

Mardi 10 juillet.

Aujourd'hui, journée raid ! Enfin, là j'avance un peu vite, au début c'était surtout journée-où-on-part-vers-le-nord-et-on-sait-pas-trop-quoi-y-faire.
Laissez-moi expliquer : au début, nous avions prévu de nous rendre au Mont du Dragon de Jade, à 4500m d'altitude. Mais pour y aller, il fallait prendre un bus, payer l'entrée de la zone touristique (105y), et effectuer l'ascension soit en téléphérique soit à cheval, ce qui coûtait 170y et limitait grandement l'intérêt vis-à-vis d'une grimpette à pattes.

Du coup nous nous sommes tranquillement levés à 9h, avons pris un bon petit-déj américain, et sommes partis en quête de vélos à notre taille (ceux de l'hostel étaient un peu petits...). Après avoir tourné un bon moment, on en a finalement trouvé, mais ils étaient à 60 kuais la journée, ce qui était clairement le double du prix normal -_-'. On est donc retourné à l'hôtel (où heureusement il restait des vélos ^^), et après une petite session de réparation des freins, nous avons pu partir avec deux bons vtt (mais toujours un peu petits) pour 20 kuais chacun. Il était 11h45.

Au programme, aller visiter des villages au nord de Lijiang, en suivant une superbe carte dessinée à la main. On a donc pris plein nord, ce qui nous a amené à gravir la première colline qui passait par là. Alors même si au début on avait un petit chemin, il s'est vite transformé en marches d'escalier qu'il a fallu gravir en portant les vélos (quand je parlais de raid, et ce n'est que le début...). Mais une fois au sommet, on a pu profiter d'une belle vue sur la ville avant de redescendre de l'autre côté par... des marches ^^. Heureusement, une route est rapidement apparue, et on a pu continuer notre périple.

On s'est ensuite rendu à la ville d'eau de la montagne de jade (Yushuizhai), 20km plus loin et 400m plus haut, au pied de la montagne du Dragon de Jade. Encore une fois, un tarif d'entrée de 130y (ils ne s'en font vraiment pas dans la région), donc on a juste pris un petit encas (deux brochettes et une demi-galette) et une photo avec les locaux avant de continuer notre chemin vers Yuhu, notre destination pour manger. Il était 14h.

Mais sur la route (si vous vous souvenez de vos cours de français, on appelle ça un évènement perturbateur :p), on a vu un petit chemin pour chevaux qui partait vers la montagne, et on a décidé de la suivre pour voir où il allait. Au bout d'un moment, alors que le chemin avait l'air clairement sympa mais qu'il était clairement trop raide pour être monté à vélo, on a caché ces derniers dans la forêt avant d'entreprendre l'ascension du célèbre Mont du Dragon de Jade, par une face (sud) où personne ne nous a rien demandé de payer. Il était 15h.

S'en est suivit une superbe ascension avec des points de vue de rêve sur tout le plateau de Lijiang, avec la ville au fond et les montagnes autour. Comme pour une fois on n'avait pas pris nos k-ways (alors que d'habitude on se les trimbale tout le temps pour rien), il s'est mis à pleuvoir. Mais nous avons persévéré et traversé la zone afin de continuer notre ascension. Néanmoins, une deuxième saucée nous a cueilli près du sommet et nous a littéralement trempés. Heureusement, nous avons pu nous réfugié dans une bergerie, où des paysans chinois nous accueilli autour de leur feu, ce qui nous a permis de nous réchauffer et de faire sécher nos vêtements. Il était 17h. En discutant avec eux (en chinois ^^), on a appris qu'on était à 4000m d'altitude (!), qu'ils élevaient des chevaux et qu'ils aimaient le foot.

Après ce petit moment magique, une fois que la pluie se fut arrêté (vers 17h30), nous avons attaqué la descente en petit footing acrobatique (enfin, surtout au début, après on marchait :s). Sur la route, on s'est repris la pluie exactement au même endroit qu'aller, et on a même réussi à se tromper de chemin (pourtant ils étaient bien marqués et il n'y en avait pas 36), ce qui fait qu'on est arrivé plus bas que prévu et qu'on a du remonter pour aller chercher les vélos -_-'. Au final la descente ne nous a pris qu'un quart d'heure de moins que la monté, mais on a pu longer le côté nord de la ville d'eau et voir quelques-unes de ses belles construction. Une fois les vélos retrouvés et récupérés grâce à notre kern (il était 19h15), nous sommes redescendu en mode vtt technique vers le village de Yuhu, où nous avons pu nous ravitailler (on commençait à avoir vraiment faim vu qu'on avait sauté le repas) et regonfler la roue de Ben. On pourra noter que les pompes chinoises ne sont pas vraiment très optimisées. On est ensuite reparti en direction de Lijiang et des 20km de route qu'il nous restait à parcourir. Il était 20h.

Sur le retour, nous avons pu profiter de magnifiques vues sur les montagnes alentours, avec de superbes jeux de lumière, dont un magnifique arc-en-ciel et un beau coucher de soleil derrière les montagnes.
Comme la route descendait tout le long, on a pu se lancer sur un bon rythme, et tester le processus d'aspiration, qui fonctionne vraiment pas mal :).

La nuit est tombée alors que nous entrions dans la ville, donc timing parfait. On est arrivé à 21h à l'auberge, et après une bonne douche, on est allé tester les spécialités locales avec notre amie chinoise qui parle français. On a pu goûter le riz cuit dans un bambou, le saucisson chinois, les babas et les fromages de chèvre séchés, et c'était plutôt pas mauvais du tout ^^.

Au final, 40km de vélo avec 400m de dénivelé positif, 1300m de dénivelé positif en randonnée, de la descente technique, du porter de vélo, et le tout sur 9h d'épreuves, ça fait une bonne petite journée de raid et un bon entraînement pour les Gorges du Saut du Tigre du lendemain :).

Seul bémol de la journée, on a encore pu confirmer que dès qu'il y a des chinois dans une auberge de jeunesse, ils font un bruit fou quand ils se lèvent ou se couchent, même si c'est à 1h ou 6h du matin quand tout le monde dors...
