Beijing - 5ème jour

Today, c'est avec une équipe réduite que nous sommes partis (tôt !) une dernière fois à l'aventure, sous un magnifique soleil qui augurait une journée particulièrement magique. Première étape, le Palais d’été, résidence estivale de l’empereur. Le palais date de 1751 (dynastie Qing), surplombe un magnifique lac et est entouré d’un immense parc de 290 ha hébergeant 3000 édifices et 420 000 arbres, le tout géré par 1700 employés (source : routard ^^). Et effectivement, quand on arrive, ça en jette, et ça nous a pris près de 4 heures d’en faire le tour. Même si il y avait énormément de monde, la dimension du lieu fais que dès qu’on sort des artères principales (et qu’on monte quelques marches ^^) on se retrouve vite avec beaucoup d’espace.

Fais intéressant, au nord du complexe, on peut trouver une reconstitution de Suzhou (ville proche de Shanghai réputée pour être un paradis sur Terre), dans laquelle l’empereur allait se promener et faire du shopping (tous les marchands étaient des eunuques du palais) pour avoir l’impression d’être au contact de son peuple.

Pour la petite histoire (comme c’est rappelé sur de nombreux panneaux d’informations ^^), les chinois remercient les français et les anglais pour avoir détruit 2 fois le palais en 1860 et 1900 pour faire plier l’empereur aux exigences des colonies européennes en Chine (notamment à Shanghai).

L’après-midi, nous avons changé complètement de registre en nous dirigeant vers le Dashanzi 798 Art District, un petit quartier (500m sur 200m je dirais) qui héberge une centaine de galeries d’art en tout genre, avec quand même une préférence pour le moderne et le contemporain (on n’a pas tout compris d’ailleurs, je vous laisserai juger sur les photos). On y a par exemple vu une magnifique expo d’hyperphotos signée Jean-François Rauzier.

Fun fact, on a croisé une trentaine d’étudiantes de l’école de Design de Beijing posées au milieu d’une rue qui dessinaient tous les modèles qui se présentaient à elles et acceptait de patienter quelques minutes.

Au retour, on s’est quand même arrêté manger une crêpe au Nutella (ils avaient plus de caramel beurre salé -_-‘) dans un resto breton, avec la Marseillaise en fond sonore (la version complète s’il vous plaît). ON a néanmoins dû attendre 35 minutes alors qu’on était les seuls clients.


Et voilà c’est déjà la fin, demain sera consacré au train de retour et à la récupération de la soirée à Sanlitun :). On pourra juste noter (après avoir testé 4 gares) que le modèle chinois est super intelligent, avec des gares à 3 étages : le premier étage pour les salles d’attentes, celui du milieu pour les rails et les quais, et le sous-sol pour les arrivées. Du coup ça gère très très bien les flux (bon ok leurs gare n’ont pas 150 ans comme les nôtres, donc ça doit jouer aussi ^^). Ce coup-ci, on a décidé de tester l’express (5h) histoire de ne pas perdre une autre nuit de sommeil. Par contre j’ai été un peu déçu parce que depuis les accidents de l’an dernier, ils ont réduit la vitesse des trains de 350 à 300km/h… ^^.

En conclusion, pour répondre à la question que tous les chinois nous posent : « tu préfères Shanghai ou Beijing ? », je dirais que les deux villes sont complètement différentes (mais c’est dur de juger une ville de cette taille en une semaine), et l’intérêt de Beijing est surtout centré sur l’histoire et les monuments anciens alors que Shanghai est orienté vers le futur avec ses tours et ses gratte-ciel, donc les deux sont différentes mais aussi amazing :).
