Beijing - 4ème jour

Pour ce quatrième jour, histoire de ne pas perdre le rythme, nous avons prévu 3 destinations : le zoo, le temple des Lamas, et le parc olympique.

Comme je les ai donné par ordre alphabétique, on va commencer par... le Beijing Zoo ! (ça va c'était pas trop dur ^^)

En chemin, (= dans le métro), nous avons pu disserter sur les pubs lumineuses s'affichant sur les murs du tunnel. Après un brainstorming (et une vérification sur internet), il s'avère qu'il y a en fait une bande lumineuse tous les n mètres, et que la vitesse du métro créait une image fixe (parfois animée !) sur le mur. Plutôt pas mal.

Arrivé au zoo, nous avons rencontré l'oncle d'Ivy (la chinoise de la team), qui nous a fait rentrer et nous a emmené directement vers les animaux qui font la fierté de la Chine, les pandas ! (pour ceux qui avaient un doute les dragons ça n'existe pas ;) ).

Là, nous avons découverts 3 pandas en train de dormir. Même s'ils étaient mignons, ils étaient assez sales, comme leur environnement d'ailleurs, qui avait de plus l'air inadapté. C'est un constat que l'on a pu faire sur l'ensemble du parc, avec notamment des renards polaires (malades) vivant en plein soleil sur de la terre et du sable... Néanmoins, ils avaient une collection de tortues (avec des tortues de guerre assez balaises) et d'amphibiens assez folklorique.

Le midi, l'oncle (qui s'est révélé être le peintre-sculpteur officiel du zoo) nous a invité au restaurant où l'on a pu manger comme des rois de la cuisine typique pékinoise, avec tout particulièrement le caoya (canard laqué). Néanmoins, même en se forçant, on n’a pas réussi à manger plus de la moitié des mets présents sur la table (tournante). Heureusement, notre hôte a tout emporté pour manger plus tard.

L'après-midi, nous sommes allés visiter le temple des Lamas, un immense temple bouddhiste (d'origine !) au cœur de la ville. On a pu y apprendre quelques règles de vie/visite, parmi lesquelles il est interdit de prendre des photos depuis l'intérieur (mais depuis l'extérieur ça passe), ça se fait de saluer bouddha sans émettre de vœu, et qu'il faut enlever sa casquette à l'intérieur (même si elle a une étoile rouge ^^).

Dernière étape de la journée, nous nous sommes rendus au nord dans le parc Olympique (Beijing 2008 pour ceux qui ont oublié), afin de voir les fameux Bird Nest et Cube. On a bien sur décidé d'attendre la tombée de la nuit pour profiter des illuminations.
Et pour la nuit, ça a été retour, dao xiao mian et dodo :)
