Shangri-la - 1er jour

Jeudi 12 juillet.

Aujourd'hui, levé à 9h, petit dej (plus ou moins) rapide, et direction Shangri-la, ville de légende situé aux confins du monde connu. En fait ce nom désigne depuis 2001 Zhongdian, ville de 130k habitants située à 200km au nord de Lijiang, et surtout à 3200 mètres d'altitude !

Pour y aller, il y avait soit un bus qui partait à 15h, soit un taxi qui pouvait nous emmener à la gare routière de Qiaotou (au départ de la randonnée) pour 140 kuais. Comme c'était trop tard ou trop cher, on est parti à pied pour faire du stop. Au bout de 15 minutes passées à marcher sur une route vide, un minivan passant par-là a bien voulu nous prendre et nous a déposé... 1km plus loin : un énorme rocher avait défoncé la route (!), et le seul moyen de rejoindre l'autre côté était de contourner le monstre à pied.
Une fois l'obstacle franchi, nous avons pu prendre un taxi qui nous a emmené (après négociation) à Qiaotou pour 60 kuais. De là, nous avons pu prendre directement un minibus pour Shangri-la qui coûtait 30 kuais/personne, donc parfait.

Arrivés 2 heures plus tard (soit vers 13h), nous sommes directement aller effectuer notre check-in au N's hostel (35 kuais la nuit, plus cher :p), avant d'aller flâner dans la vieille ville autour. En choisissant une rue au hasard qui allait sud-est, on a commencé par se retrouver sur une colline déserte, mais qui donnait une très belle vue sur la ville et les montagnes alentours.
On est ensuite redescendu dans la ville, où nous avons croisé un gros yak blanc à poils long qui posait devant le temple surélevé de Da Gui Shang. On peut noter à côté du temple le plus grand moulin à prière du monde (une vingtaine de mètres de haut), mis (et maintenu !) en rotation par les touristes se succédant autour. On a bien sur participé un moment, mais c'était vraiment lourd :p.

Pour la suite (une heure suffit à faire le tour de la vieille ville), nous avons pris le bus 3 en direction du monastère de Songzanlin, une lamaserie tibétaine au nord de la ville. Malgré les 55 kuais d'entrée (tarif étudiant), le monastère était vraiment impressionnant et valait le détour, on se serait bien cru au Tibet. On s'est ensuite offert une petite balade autour du lac en contrebas qui offre un superbe point de vue sur le temple avec reflets.

Une fois de retour en ville (vers 19h30), nous nous sommes rendus sur Sifang Jie, la place principale, pour (essayer de) danser avec les locaux autour d'une grande ronde et au son de musiques traditionnelles. Magique.
Après ce dernier effort, vu qu'on était vraiment cuit, on est allé manger un bon burger de yak avec une allemande, un australien et une américaine croisés à plusieurs reprises. C'était vraiment bon :).

En conclusion journée plutôt tranquille dans une ville magnifique, qui a fait du bien après les deux jours précédents :).
