Emeishan - 1er jour

Samedi 28 juillet.

Alors que le soleil se levait (ou pas), nous avons pris la destination d'Emeishan (ou mont Emei), une des quatre montagnes sacrées du bouddhisme chinois.
Nous avons donc pris le bus de 8h45, qui nous a déposé 1 heure plus tard à la gare touristique d'Emei, où nous avons pu procéder à l'achat des tickets (80 kuais l'entrée + 40 kuais de bus). Pendant les 30 minutes d'attente dudit bus, qui devait nous emmener sur la montagne, nous avons pu visionner la retransmission de la cérémonie d'ouverture des JO (on n'avait pas eu le courage de se lever à 4h du matin pour la regarder en direct ^^), et ça avait l'air plutôt pas mal :).

Nous avons finalement été déposés à Wuxiangang, à 700m d'altitude, où nous avons fait une petite pause pour manger des chao mian avant de se lancer (il était tout de même 11h30). Check-in rapide, et c'est partit pour 6h30 de ~~balade~~ montée à destination du temple de Xixiang Chi, perché à 2070m, au bout d'un sentier dallé de pierres d'une quinzaine de kilomètres. Comme premier point d'intérêt, nous avons eu droit à un magnifique double pont surplombant un torrent, situé en contrebas du pavillon Qingyin. Un peu plus loin, nous avons pu visiter le temple de Wannian, au style plus indien que la moyenne, avec une superbe statue de Puxian, le bodhisattva (à vos souhaits) de la sagesse, monté sur un éléphant. L'ensemble sortait de l'ordinaire et valait bien les 10 kuais d'entrée.

Sur la suite, on n'a pas vu grand-chose à part des marches, avec un effet assez improbable sur la crête du nord où il y avait une brume épaisse d'un côté et un beau ciel bleu de l'autre. Le cadre était très agréable, il n'y avait pas grand monde, mais ce n'était pas calme pour autant : les crickets-disqueuses s'étaient invités à la partie, et faisaient réellement un boucan d'enfer -_-'.

Lors de notre arrivée au temple de Xixiang Chi, notre destination, nous avons pu assister à un épisode de la bataille du monastère : les singes essayaient de pénétrer l'enceinte sacrée (notamment du côté des cuisines), et les moines les repoussaient à coup de lance-pierre.
À part ça, les singes sont tout à fait sympathiques, pas farouche pour un sous, mais très fourbe : une touriste un peu distraite s'est faîte arraché son goûter ^^.
Par contre de son côté, le temple manquait un peu de charme avec ses toits en tôle et ses murs en placos, mais on y a été bien accueilli.

À l'intérieur, on a pu louer une chambre pour trois à 180 kuais, ce qui collait parfaitement à notre budget. On est ensuite allé prendre notre repas à la cantine locale pour 20 kuais, mais il ne restait pas grand-chose (il était déjà 19h...). Néanmoins, on a pu manger et discuter avec des hollandais puis des français qui logeaient là (enfin, il y a eu un turnover, on n'a pas mangé deux fois ^^).
Pour la soirée, belle lune dans le ciel, douches un peu à l'ancienne mais opérationnelles, et une bonne nuit en perspective sur nos matelas avec couverture chauffante (il faut dire que ce n'était pas du luxe vu qu'on était à 2000 et que la chambre était aussi bien isolée qu'un abri de jardin :s).
