I think that everything published was actually very reasonable. But, think on this, suppose you typed a catchier post title? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your website, however suppose you added something that grabbed people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda vanilla. You should look at Yahoo's home page and note how they create article titles to grab people interested. You might add a video or a related picture or two to grab people excited about what you've written. Just my opinion, it might make your blog a little livelier.
